To create a link in Dreamweaver is easy. All you have to do is highlight the text that you want to make into a link. Try to avoid using "click here" for a link.
Here is a section of our sample website in which we are going to create a link to some information about Kalamazoo for visitors that may not know much about the area.

We highlight the text that we want to become a link. We then move down to the properties toolbar on the bottom of the window and in the link area we type the address or relative path of the file or site we are linking to.

If the file you want to link to is another file in your site, you can put the relative path, such as index.html, contacts.html, etc.
If it is a site or file on someone else's server, then you will have to put the absolute path, such as http://www.kalamazoomi.com, in our example.

We now have a link to Kalamazoo's website to provide information to our visitors.

We can now update the text, change design, or insert pictures.
